The showering of love, gifts, and adorable homemade touches has begun! Thanks to my family for throwing me such a cute bridal shower! My mom and sis’s creativity (from food to decorations) made the event into an elegant afternoon with the ladies.

This past weekend, we arrived back in Champaign. It was great to sleep in our own beds, be in our respective houses, and be somewhere familiar to us. Colorado LT was amazing, and we had so many exciting opportunities to make new ministry friendships, affect students for Christ, and experience fun stuff together.
Truly, by the Grace of God, We got ourselves into a little car trouble; at just…the…right…time. Headed back from LT for a week in Champaign to see family, go to a wedding, and prep for our own wedding, Ashley’s car died, about 45 minutes from her parents’ house. We were able to find out that, unfortunately, it had died. Admittedly, we’d thought it was on it’s last legs. This just confirmed it.
Starting this weekend, we will both be in Colorado for the summer for Leadership Training program (gcmlt.org) with our network of collegiate churches. The program runs 10 weeks and at it, students work a full time job while digging deep into Christian community and learning about God through great teachings. This is our view for the summer.
We like a lot of things, and we know a lot of you one side or the other are looking to get to know who that person marrying my friend is.
We recently spent an evening with our good friend, Matt, who blessed us with some amazing photo work.
Many folks, when they hear that somebody got engaged, want to see the ring.
