For more than a decade, we have both been a part of a campus church called Illini Life Christian Fellowship. This church, which is a Collegiate Church Network church, has been an amazing spiritual home and place of growth for us both. When we graduated, we both took jobs in the area to be a part of this community.
In 2010, Alan left his job as an engineer to raise support to be on staff with the church. In 2014, Ashley has started the same process, after teaching for 7 years. We’re incredibly excited about this next stage in our marriage and out ministry.
Illini Life is a campus focused community, looking to see transformation in the lives of college students.
We so believe in this ministry for the growth we’ve seen in our own lives as well as the lives of students we’ve had the chance to disciple and care for. It truly is amazing to see 18 year olds come in with a heart for the LORD that we can nurture and it’s all the more amazing when we somebody who is curious about Jesus when we meet them and who we can send as a missionary to wherever they’ll work next after they graduate.
